The NCS – National Citizen Service programme which is being offered to Year 11 & 12 students from the local areas. This fantastic annual opportunity was missed by the present Year 12 students so is being offered out to them also but adhering to Restrictions, Places are Limited this year.

This Personal Development Programme will run over the Summer Period and there is a 2 or 3-week programme, depending on if you want to take up the Residential. Young people get the opportunity to undertake Team Challenges, meet new people and work on a Project which means something to them.  Students will leave with a Certificate and this evidence can be used on CVs and Personal Statements for University. Students can apply to be with their friends too.

There is a contribution cost but there are bursaries for eligible students if needed.

Please look at the link to an 8 minute video Information Clip which should tell you everything. – https://youtu.be/5D1fl4UGejg

This opportunity is exclusively for Year 12 students in Coventry who did not take part (in Yr 11) in the Summer Programme. (those students can get involved in other NCS volunteering projects such as Changemakers which runs throughout the year).

All students were given an information pack and if interested and able to devote the time, should apply as soon as possible as there are limited spaces and it will be popular. Please discuss and we do have a few extra copies in the 6th Form office or you can find the information to register/apply on the NCS website – https://wearencs.com/

This is a varied programme including a Residential, which will be Indoors so they will be kept warm! Students will acquire those skills essential for the future and be able to add to their CV and discuss at any future interviews.

There is a charge but this can be reduced in certain instances; however, we do not want anyone to consider finance a barrier so please discuss with myself or Phoebe Wright at the NCS office (LEBC).
