West Coventry Academy
Creation of West Coventry Academy
West Coventry Academy was created through the amalgamation of Tile Hill Wood School & Language College and Woodlands Academy in 2016. Both schools were founded in the 1950s, have enjoyed a successful and rich history in the West of Coventry and can look back on many years of successful collaboration in the Sixth Form and annual school production among others.
In January 2022 West Coventry Academy joined The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP), a multi-academy Trust based in the Midlands.
New Build
It was announced on the 9th February, 2021 that West Coventry Academy would be part of a School Rebuilding Programme from the government. This would see a new building built on site, transferring the main entrance to Tile Hill Lane.
